There are a lot of different brands of toilets that all are installed a little differently. Basically installing a toilet involves these steps. 1. You need to measure your “rough-in” whichi s the distance from the bowl hold-down bolts to the finished wall behind the toilet. 2. Turn off water to the toilet. 3. Flush the toilet 4. Remove the rest of the water in the toilet bowl with a cup and a towel or spunge. 4. Unthread couplings between toilet and tank and the water supply. 5. Remove any nuts holding the toilet down to the floor. 6. Lift toilet out.... Whe you buy a new toilet most come with great directions, so follow them closely!!!
